How bout Garibaldi?

Leanne is pretty downmarket (though better than Garianne)

Marie is nice enough - Marianne however is lovely

FizzyApricot · 22/04/2021 13:04

And no one is laughing at Leanne which is just Lee and Anne together.

FizzyApricot · 22/04/2021 13:03

I've googled Garyanne and found an obituary for one. So it does seem to be a real name.

EmbarrassingMama · 22/04/2021 12:48

Garyanne? Can someone help me?

DH called Gary and you're called Anne? I don't get it.

CooperLooper · 22/04/2021 11:55

Can we revive this thread pls, I keep thinking about it and laughing!

LozMarieFielder · 17/04/2021 10:37

Not Garyanne unless you shorten it to Annie or something. Marie is a classic but Leanne is nice too.

Drunkenmonkey · 17/04/2021 10:27

Gary-Anne would be better, Gaz for short

Drunkenmonkey · 17/04/2021 10:26

Garyanne

Tal45 · 16/04/2021 09:25

Garyanne - is that a made up girls version of Gary?? To me it just sounds like someone really wanted a boy. Marie is the best by far IMO (Leanne sounds dated to me) but like a pp I prefer Maria.

TatianaBis · 16/04/2021 09:02

Garyanne is definitely up there with Balonz.

Whatshouldicallme · 16/04/2021 08:43

😂 Garyanne Balonzbelle, go for it!!

cassrose · 16/04/2021 08:17

Is this thread a joke? A made-up name vs 80s names.

Cindie943811A · 15/04/2021 23:22

I think Garyanne is a brilliant name. Your wee girl will be remembered as her name will be truly unique and not just unusual.
And I’m not being sarky here. Please do use this name

emmathedilemma · 15/04/2021 15:11

I'm dying GrinGrinGrinGrin

ILoveShula · 15/04/2021 15:02

Garybelle is a bit 1980s, Garybella is more 2021

JemimaJoy · 15/04/2021 14:50

Love Garyanne but what about the slightly classier Garybelle?

Leytonladee · 15/04/2021 13:12

Maybe it's becoming a bit too popular as you can even buy a Garyanne baby vest. Perhaps one to avoid if you want something a bit more unique.

Garyane seems to be a relatively common name.

I prefer Marie though

Thedogscollar · 15/04/2021 01:57

Not hard to pick the odd one out of that threesomeGrin
Please go with Marie.

GameofPhones · 15/04/2021 00:51

If the meaning is important, Gerald also means 'ruler with the spear'. So, Geraldine.

WatchlistAndWaiting · 15/04/2021 00:49

Google thinks you mean Gerryanne, not Garyanne. Do you?

somersault · 15/04/2021 00:32

You did ask, and the responses to this thread on Garyanne will be the ones your daughter has a lifetime of. Marie is a lovely name.

Ingridla · 15/04/2021 00:24

Garyanne. Gary and Anne together? I don't think I've ever heard such an amazing idea for a name GrinGrinGrin

BluebellsGreenbells · 15/04/2021 00:20

Garibaldi?

Takes coat, slams door.

GameofPhones · 15/04/2021 00:13

Well lots of names for girls are derivatives of male names -
Albertine
Corinne
Alana
Wilhelmina
Joanne
Martina
Denise... etc.
