I like Madeline but dislike Maddie. Are there any names that sound similar that wouldn’t get shortened?

Btw, I used to teach a Madeleine whose mother said it wasn’t to be shortened; however, the girl in question actually asked me to call her maddie.

Madison? I love adeline but that might get shortened to Addie.

I have a Madeleine. It's never shortened.
