Alice. Timeless elegance.

Matilda is lovely but a bit 'now' so not as timeless.

Alice. Classic, ageless, timeless..

I think Matilda and its shortenings are sweet on a little girl but less so as an older woman, plus it's v popular where we are so may date too.

Ooh tough choice! Probably Alice as it's always been a favourite. I'll warn you though that all the ones I've known have been as mad as a box of frogs (in a good way!).
Matilda probably has more nn options.
