I absolutely love this name, but its gotten very mixed reactions from others so I wanted to know what everyone on here thinks

OP posts:

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Set a reminder

I also thought of Pippin and Auntie Mabel. And now I have the theme tune in my head.

Though when I watched a repeat about 15 years ago, I enjoyed the nostalgia of seeing them visit Safeway. I think it was the bread episode.

Pebbledashery · 04/04/2021 23:32

Also reminds me of.

Definitely reminds me of a dogs name.. I wouldn't..

STARmyarse · 04/04/2021 23:31

A child as well behaved as that Pippin would be ideal though!

CoffeeBeansGalore · 04/04/2021 23:30

Nice dogs name (including the one who came to an unfortunate end in Jaws). I wouldn't use it for a child. Would you consider Peter, nn Pip?

Gazelda · 04/04/2021 23:30

Auntie Mabel and Pippin. Loved that so much.
Sorry OP, anyone over the age of 40 will think of a dog.

Angel2702 · 04/04/2021 23:30

Yes definitely thought of Pippin the dog. I cannot imagine a grown man called Pippin.

STARmyarse · 04/04/2021 23:28

Look up, look down, look all around.
Can’t not think of Auntie Mabel. Sorry!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 04/04/2021 23:28

For a girl I'd say yes as I love twee names ill freely hold my hands up, but I'd say it's far too cutesy for a,boy, sorry. Philip nn Pip would be okay

GreyhoundG1rl · 04/04/2021 23:28

@halcyondays

Lovely name for a dog. Auntie Mabel and Pippin.

Yes, this. Fgs don't

KitKatKit · 04/04/2021 23:27

God no.

Biscuitburglar · 04/04/2021 23:27

I thought it was a variety of apple?

Macaroni46 · 04/04/2021 23:26

I thought it was a type of apple

RiaOverTheRainbow · 04/04/2021 23:26

It's a cute nickname, and I think you could use it for most P names, but I really wouldn't give it as a full name.

grapewine · 04/04/2021 23:26

Isn't it a Hobbit character? It has a nickname vibe to me, sorry.

paperandfireworks · 04/04/2021 23:25

I'll second that, delightful for a dog.
