Current favourite names:

Thea, Thalia or Aria for a girl: which do you prefer and are any of them too faddy? I feel like Aria is probably a bit faddy, but I still like it.

Boys: Joshua, Jacob, Elliot: Which do you like best?

Thanks

Someone in my family has Joshua, Jacob and Thea (in that order) so I think those are gorgeous and go together perfectly.

Ellmau · 04/04/2021 17:08

Thea and Thalia are both nice. Aria - prefer Ariadne or Ariane.

Joshua for boy's name, I think.

ImAlrightThanx · 04/04/2021 17:03

I'm not a fan of any of the girls name, sorry. If I had to choose, I'd take Thea.
Jacob is lovely, Joshua is fine (both will be get shortened to Jake and Josh though, if that's a concern). IMO, Elliot is overused now- not that that should be a reason to not use it!

Hufflepuffsunite · 04/04/2021 16:55

Thalia and Jacob but I like them all.

Clockingon · 04/04/2021 14:37

Thea and Elliott.

PandaFluff · 04/04/2021 14:02

If you like Fiadh I'd use it. Your baby should have a name you love. Some people don't know how to pronounce Niamh but it's a lovely name.

I like Aria & Elliot from your original list.

PatsyStone39 · 04/04/2021 12:33

Tahlia and Elliot

KirstenBlest · 04/04/2021 12:15

Thea - to go with all the Theos. No
Thalia - Don't know if it's Tahl-ya, Thahl-ya or Thayl-ya
Aria - awful, Just air

Sorry, I don't like any of them.

Joshua, Jacob, Elliot: all ok, not keen on any but would pick Jacob

bonfireheart · 04/04/2021 11:42

Aria, Jacob and Elliott.

GertrudeTheGreat · 04/04/2021 11:41

I like Thea a lot.

I like Jacob.

Not keen on any of the others, but none are bad or offensive.

sarah13xx · 04/04/2021 11:33

Aria is popular but I do still love it!

Have always liked Elliot too so I’d probably choose that for a boy

hollahollaholla · 04/04/2021 11:28

Thanks everyone for feedback.

The person who said about Thea might be pronounced "Fear", funny enough one of my favourite names is Fiadh (pronounced "Fee-ah"), but I have ruled it out as I think people would spell and pronounce it wrong. It's a fairly standard name in Northern Ireland, but don't think it's so heard of in England yet.

Aria is completely faddy. Thea and Thalia are lovely.

All 3 of your boys names are quite nice but I’ve always particularly loved Joshua.

MrsTumbletap · 04/04/2021 09:49

I like all three boy names and none of the girl names.

ThereforeIAm · 04/04/2021 09:38

Thalia and Jacob.

babynamelover · 04/04/2021 09:37

Thea & Elliot

Spied · 04/04/2021 09:35

Thea
Jacob

DotDotDotDotDot · 04/04/2021 09:33

I like Thalia and Joshua best from your list. Not sure where you’re based but in London Thea sounds like Fear which is a shame as it’s a nice name. Also like Jacob but dislike the nn Jake. Aria has a nice meaning although I’ve heard it pronounced both Ah-ria and A-ria.

Mol1628 · 04/04/2021 09:30

Thea and Elliot.

TheMotherlode · 04/04/2021 09:07

I like Thea best and then Thalia for a girl

And Joshua or Jacob for a boy

Not keen on the other two names

OneKeyAtATime · 04/04/2021 09:07

Thea and Elliott

catvonbat · 04/04/2021 09:04

I vote Thea and Joshua.
Do you like Cora, Ava/Eva, Joseph, Isaac?

Miraclemumma · 04/04/2021 09:02

Aria and Jacob! I like Jonah too

I love looking at names! We tend to adopt so our kids come ready-named! 😂 Have fun choosing!

DeusEx · 04/04/2021 09:02

Aria will get the game of thrones connotations despite the different spelling. Depends if you care about that.

I think all three girls names are lovely though. Thalia I would spell Talia personally - either way that’s the winner of the three for me!

Of the boys, love Jacob. Have met several very annoying Joshuas and Elliots is the only reason! Not very objective reasoning Grin

BakewellGin1 · 04/04/2021 09:00

Thalia and Elliott
I know a lot of children with the other names so going for my least heard although they are my preferred names too
