Boys-
Avery - not a fan at all, and would lean to assuming girl

Lucan - like it, prefer Lucien

Elian - I really like it but many would assume girl

Ivan - love it

Irvin - it's OK, just not my style. Nice that it's different though

Ansel - nice but prefer Ivan

Have you considered Ivor or Elias, they seem similar to some of your names

Girls-
Sylvie - nice enough

Audra - not a fan. Love Audrey though
Sybil - adore it but couldn't convince dh. I really do love it though
Della - nice
Anya - not a fan, prefer Anna

I only really like Elian from the boys list (although I'd like Elias even better). Not keen on the sound of Ansel and I find Avery quite feminine and too close to Aviary. Lucan reminds me of Lord Lucan (but Lucian would be nice) and Ivan makes me think of Ivan the terrible, sorry (but Ivo or Evan are nice?).

Your girls list is lovely, only ones I'm not so keen on is Audra (though I like Audrey) and maybe Della is a bit nicknamey sounding/too close to Bella? But I'd struggle to pick between the beautiful Anya, Sylvie and Sybil - maybe Sylvie just edges it.

I prefer Lucas to Lucan (the first thing that came to mind was Lord Lucan - quite a famous crime, but old now).

Ivan is the only boys name I’d use from your list. I like Della, Sylvie and Anya from the girls side. Maybe Adela?

Just been looking at boys' names beginning with A - so many lovely names! I also like Anton, Albin, Avram and Amos.

I agree that Lucan sort of sounds as though you meant to go for Lucian or Lucas (sorry!)

I like Ansel, and also Anselm. There's another name that's similar to these two that's on the tip of my tongue and I can't remember it, it's very annoying. If I remember it I'll update!

From your girls' list I think Sylvie is my preference but Anya is also nice, and not very popular. As a pp said, Delphine is also lovely, and you might also like Auden? Both of these were on the girls' list.

Ivan is Ok - if you were up for a tweak then Lucian or Elias are great

Really wouldn’t call a boy Avery, I know it used to be a boys name - but so did Evelyn.
