Sister for Mabel & Stanley

Hi all, recommendations welcome to name baby girl who is a twin to Stanley and has older sister Mabel.

Our shortlist so far is :
Olive
Iris
Sybil (family name)
Alba

As you can tell we lean more towards the older style names!

I love Florence and Violet but feel both have become super popular.

I like them all. I was just thinking whilst watching Fawlty Towers last week that Sybil is probably due a comeback.

If it makes any difference I know several babies and toddlers called Iris whereas I don’t know any named Olive, Alba or Sybil. If you don’t want Florence or Violet due to their popularity I’d avoid Iris too.

Yes to Olive, Iris or Sybil, all lovely.

A big no to Alba, not nice at all.

Daphne is a great suggestion. I'd choose Daphne or Olive.

I like Iris a lot, and Sybil is nice, but I wouldn’t want siblings with the same initial letter, definitely not twins. Daphne? Irene?

Why do the names need to "match"? Or "go together"? They won't live together when they're older so why does it matter?

Some great suggestions that will surely be better received than "twin 2"!

Very interesting to hear that Iris has become so popular, I was unaware!

I have a 15 month old Mabel.

If we have a girl next I love: Penelope, Vivienne, violet, iris, ivy and Martha.

Sybil is lovely and makes a nice sibset with Stanley and Mabel (as it has similar style plus the same beginning initial as Stanley and L ending of Mabel). I don't think think two S names matter since they are different sexes, so there shouldn't be post mix up's.

However Sybil is quite rare compared to Stanley and Mabel, so Iris would also be very nice and fit well as a sibset imo. Iris Sybil sounds beautiful. I'm not keen on Olive or Alba though, sorry.

I agree with pp that Clara or Ada would also be good choices. I also love the retro Freda, Lilian and Vivien.

Missing the point entirely but are you familiar with Stan and Mabel byJason Chapman? You can hear the story with songs on spotify. I cant remember the names of the other characters but I think theres a Sybil!
