Alliteration

What do people think about alliteration with first and surnames? Our surname begins with a W and we love the name Winifred but I can't decide if it's a bit too "superhero" like Clark Kent, Lex Luther etc or whether I'm being completely ridiculous and it's fine. We have one other name we like but Winifred is my favourite apart from the alliteration

I think it'll sound really good with an alliterative surname, partly because it's uncommon these days and a bit unexpected as a name. I don't see Winifred as a superhero sort of name, but it's strong and feisty and will sound good with a surname beginning with the same letter.

My grandmother's middle name was Winifred, but she hated her first name so she went by 'Win' for most of her life.

I don't like it. What about Willa? Or Wilnelia?

I love it! Go for it!
