Amber?

Thoughts? We actually don't know what we're having and will be choosing a name when baby is here but DP keeps bringing up Amber. He's shot down everything I liked, I'm pretty sure he'd be willing to budge on Amber but I actually don't mind it so have no real objections.

Firstly, as strangers what are your thoughts on the name? We won't be telling family beforehand and assume they'll be too polite if they hate it when baby is here!

Secondly, it'll be Amber Hill. I liked Holly but Holly Hill is too much of a place name! Does Amber Hill work? We weren't planning a middle name but does it need one?

Thanks for your opinions Smile

I really like it

It did have a moment in the 90s/00s but wasn't really popular enough for it to feel dated imho

I like it, but MIL's little dog is called Amber so I can only think of that. It is nice as a name though.

It's lovely

It's ok. It works well with Hill.

I love it, my best friend from school was Amber so it is a positive connotation for me.

I don't like it, but There's nothing wrong with it as name. Its just a difference of opinion. The flow of Amber Hill is gorgeous.

I've always liked Amber. Its less used now that a few years ago, but that is a good thing.

WonkyCactus · 27/03/2021 21:20

I really like it.

It's pretty, but I find it dated. It's very 90s. Use it if you love it, though.
