Thoughts on Rhiannon?

Thinking more as a middle name (for May). Like its links to Welsh mythology and the awesome Fleetwood Mac song, but worried it maybe sounds a bit dated?

I love it, not dated at all. The two I know are never shortened to Rhian. Sometimes to Rhi.

I really love it, it's one of my favourite names (love Fleetwood Mac too!). The only problem I would have with actually using it is that I would pronounce it rhi-ANN-un (with a schwa sound in the last syllable), whereas, I believe the correct Welsh pronunciation is different, with more emphasis on the NON syllable.

My parents wanted to call me Rhiannon (Welsh dad and Fleetwood Mac fans) and I was gutted my whole childhood and teen years that my grandmother interfered.
I’m at peace with it now but secretly wish they’d stuck to their guns!

I think it possibly is very slightly dated in Wales (as the youngest one I've met has been in their late teens), but it's a gorgeous name anyway - I love the mythology and the FM song too!

I love it 😀

More likely to be shortened to Rhi......

I don’t think it sounds dated at all! To me it sounds like a strong but still feminine name. I’ve known a couple of Rhiannon’s and they’ve all been lovely. Be warned though, it will get shortened to Rhian which drove all the Rhiannon’s I knew bananas! 😂
