I feel as if Olivia has had its peak already, so I actually find it quite nice and refreshing. It is, objectively, a beautiful name, which I wouldn't have considered when we had dd 6 years ago, as it was EVERYWHERE. But I don't come across many Olivias these days and it is lovely.

So, bit of a waffley reply, but I'd pick Olivia!

I think Alice is nice, but seems to be popular at the moment, to a point it would put me off. Grace and Sophia are so classic they are almost boring (sorry). Mia is nice as a shortening for something. Miriam or Maria. If that was an option, I'd do that.

Alice and Olivia are so popular.

I’d choose Mia or Grace.

Alice

lottiegarbanzo · 24/03/2021 21:14

Yup, Bob. She should definitely be called Bob (or Kate).

MommyinTraining · 24/03/2021 21:00

I think you should consider a gender neutral name to allow her to decide whether or not she wants a female or male identity.

snackmammy · 24/03/2021 20:46

Sophia

1.Alice - pretty, not too overused and a timeless classic
2.Sophia - beautiful with a lovely meaning but too popular for me
3.Olivia - Shakespearean elegance but much too popular now
4.Grace - okay but has become very commonplace (as a middle too)
5.Mia - the least classic and a bit trendy, but nice as a nn for Maria

Kollamoolitumarellipawkyrollo · 24/03/2021 20:14

Alice by a long way.

Thedogscollar · 24/03/2021 20:10

Olivia

lottiegarbanzo · 24/03/2021 20:09

Alice or Sophia.

IMO Olivia is overused. Grace is too, though as a middle name and it just doesn't sound very graceful, especially in some regional accents.

partyatthepalace · 24/03/2021 20:09

Not Mia.

Other than that all lovely classics.

PandaFluff · 24/03/2021 20:07

Olivia

DramaAlpaca · 24/03/2021 20:06

Alice
Sophia
Olivia...

...in that order.

I wouldn't choose Mia or Grace.

Alice, but like them all except Mia.

snowcobra · 24/03/2021 19:37

In order of preference -

  1. Sophia
  2. Olivia
  3. Mia
  4. Alice
  5. Grace

But all of them sound lovely

TatianaBis · 24/03/2021 19:34
