Valentina!

Christina by a mile.

Christina

Oh, interesting choices, I like them.

Eleanor is so classic and lovely but underused at the moment. Ellie's nice too.

Christina, I like. It's so much nicer than Christine (which is quite dated, in a 60s / 70s, not ripe for restoration way) but the emphasis is completely different. I particularly like Christabel too. (Not keen on Chris or Tina but like Belle, Christa and Christy better).

Valentina, yes, unusual but very easy to get right. Hard to get wrong in fact.

AdaColeman · 24/03/2021 20:21

All are beautiful names.

Valentina is my favourite, with Christina a very close second.

I'm not keen on the Elie, Ellie, Ella, Nellie style of nn that would be used with Eleanor which rather puts me off the otherwise lovely name.

CoffeeRunner · 24/03/2021 20:14

I like Eleanor best.

But even better than that Elena - pronounced Elle-enna.

DramaAlpaca · 24/03/2021 20:09

Difficult one. I love Valentina and Christina, but not any of the diminutives. I suppose I'd vote for Eleanor.

user1493494961 · 24/03/2021 20:07

Eleanor is beautiful. Val or Tina as shortenings are a bit 'fifties'.

SquigglePigs · 24/03/2021 18:12

Eleanor is my favourite by a large margin.

SwimmingInToys · 24/03/2021 18:09

I live Valentina but like pp wasn't keen on Val or Tina...

Edenember · 24/03/2021 17:53

Eleanor although I prefer Eleonora nn Nell or Norah

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 24/03/2021 12:55

Eleanor

EvilOnion · 24/03/2021 12:22

Eleanor but prefer Elena (E-lay-na)

I have an irrational dislike of the name "Tina" so would avoid the other 2 like the plague!

Christina

weegiepower · 24/03/2021 12:10

Valentina is beautiful! I'm not sure about any of the usual shortening which will inevitably happen somewhere across the way, maybe Leni would be cute

Lillylola · 24/03/2021 10:41

Ahhh.. ok so Eleanor or Valentina !

All 3 are beautiful but I'd pick Eleanor - it's popular for a reason as it's very classic feeling, so a bit more timeless than your other choices imo (also cool historical namesakes in Aquitaine and Roosevelt). It also has quite a wide variety of nn's - Nell, Nora, Elle, Ellie, Ella, Leni etc , so she can easily make the name suit her own style.

DarcyJack · 23/03/2021 22:34

Christina - very underused these days. Don't much like Eleanor and Valentina sounds like you have Italian heritage - which you may do I guess.

partyatthepalace · 23/03/2021 22:18

Valentina! Lovely, unusual but also familiar - and easy to spell

Christina - it’s a nice name, but Chris/ty is really undistinguished and that would put me off. You could use Kit or Christa as a nn though - or make it Christabel which I somehow think is less likely to be shortened.

Eleanor - it’s really lovely but it’s been done to death since the 90s and also blurs with all the other E and El names. Helena or Leonora are good alternatives

TatianaBis · 23/03/2021 19:52

Valentina of the 3, but don't like Val or Tina.
Eleanor is too like Eeyore to me. Christina is ok but dull. Prefer Christa.

Venetia?

Peachbubble · 23/03/2021 19:49

Christina, with Valentina second. Not keen on Eleanor.
