I don’t understand the hate on Dahlia. Great name! I would personally pronounce it Daaah-lia but if someone told me they pronounced it Day-lia I’d use that. No drama. Middle name Jean.

Some lovely suggestions here. I like Rose. I love Josephine - that is my DD's middle name and I think it goes really well.
I also like Lucy, Jemima, Claire, Amelie

@ICouldHaveCheckedFirst I really like the sound and flow of Elizabeth Dahlia but some people say it reminds them of Elizabeth Short from The Black Dahlia murder

I’d aliterate it depending on your surname. One syllable also as I think fewer syllables sound more concise and less of a mouthful.

Unconventional but I think it’s an awesome name.

Just to add - I also think Dahlia is a pretty name, not so different to Daphne, or other flower names - Iris, Hyacinth, Lily etc. It's a bit different, and I think that's a good thing.

Dahlia is a lovely name. Not sure why some posters took issue with it.

What's so wrong with Dahlia? It seems perfectly lovely to me - pretty and elegant, the only thing I'd question would be possible pronunciation issues as it's not super popular.

I agree classic names (Charlotte, Alice, Elizabeth etc) or short and simple are the way to go for the middle name - one or two syllables might be best, depending on your how long your surname is OP?
