What do you think? Too dated?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I think it's lovely. I'd have used it. I know quite a lot of people with links to the Czech Republic where it is a pretty standard, traditional name.

dontsaveusername · 22/03/2021 10:11

It's really cute and fresh. Underused and not dated.

Aurorie11 · 22/03/2021 09:56

I’m biased but it’s great not having them known as first name and first initial of surname at school!

Babdoc · 22/03/2021 09:54

It’s a lovely saint’s name. St Martin was a Roman soldier in the fourth century, who saw a beggar freezing in the street. He cut his own cloak in half and gave half to the beggar. Later he had a dream in which the beggar was actually Christ. Martin converted to Christianity and later became Bishop of Tours. A nice role model!

The person who i know called Martin gets called Mart alot which puts me off

Neolara · 22/03/2021 09:49

I think it's awful. Sorry.

partyatthepalace · 22/03/2021 09:48

Just a bit blah - like Colin.

Michael or Matthew are better options, if you like them.

KirstenBlest · 22/03/2021 09:17

Neutral, non-offensive, nature-related.
Makes a change from the currently trendy names.

Synchrony · 22/03/2021 09:05

I love it, it was on my list for boys.

Saisong · 22/03/2021 09:04

I like it, I think of it as a nature name - like the bird.

Love2cycle · 22/03/2021 09:03

My 4 year old has the same name. I love it, it suits him.
