I've recently found out I'm pregnant and these two names are in my mind.

think of Shannon Matthews.

Springfern · 21/03/2021 20:23

I also like Lisa for the above reasons

Springfern · 21/03/2021 20:23

I really like Shannon, although it was quite trashy a few years ago enough time has passed for it to have lost that association. It's pretty and quite uncommon now

Iwant2move · 21/03/2021 20:21

Neither.

Ijustlikedthename · 21/03/2021 20:20

Love Adriana

RuthW · 21/03/2021 20:17

You can't call her after the pill.

Shannon is fine but very 90s

mammmamia · 21/03/2021 20:16

Celeste, Cece is nice as NN too

Happenchance · 21/03/2021 20:12

Celeste. I like the nn CeCe.

VienneseWhirligig · 21/03/2021 20:11

Fallon sounds a bit Dallas to me.

Celeste (or Celestine) - pretty
Shannon - OK but a bit dated
Juliette - prefer Juliet
Arden - forest, not a girl's name
Eden - unusual but nice
Dixie - too close to dicks

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 21/03/2021 20:06

Juliet (spelt this more popular way unless you are French speaking) is gorgeous, elegant and underused. Eden is a different style but pretty in a kind of hippy/arty way. Adriana is exotic, possibly a little frilly, but a beautiful name. Celeste is okay - although I prefer similar Celia or Selena (more classical/elegant imo). I'm less keen on your other choices, sorry.

Murtaghjames · 21/03/2021 19:33

Adriana?

Celeste is beautiful. Shannon sounds ike , stripper name to me.

Timeforatincture · 21/03/2021 19:26

Celeste is lovely.

Shannon just makes me think of the shipping forecast.

Murtaghjames · 21/03/2021 19:26

So Shannon is definately a no Grin

whattodo2019 · 21/03/2021 19:25

Sorry, but I don't like either names at all.

Noodlesnoodlesnoodles · 21/03/2021 19:24

I really dislike Shannon, sounds a bit cheap to me. Celeste is pretty. I actually used the Celeste pills for years and never made the connection, so I wouldn't worry about that. If you're after heavenly type names, I like Selena, Serena, Seren (Welsh for star), Lyra, Phoebe. Juliette is lovely.

Twobirdsinatree · 21/03/2021 19:23

celeste!! I think that's a beautiful name...
Very nearly called DD that. Love it!

Brunt0n · 21/03/2021 19:22

@Murtaghjames

Celeste Shannon Fallon Juliette Eden Arden Dixie
Juliet is the only name on the list I personally like
Reinventinganna · 21/03/2021 19:21

Shannon and Celeste are two complete opposites to me.

Celeste- classy and elegant
Shannon- neither of the above!
Fallon - quite hippy
Juliette - a little dull but okay
Eden- not keen
Arden- sounds quite masculine
Dixie- okay as a nickname

LadyEloise · 21/03/2021 19:18

Juliette is lovely.
I prefer it to Shannon ( I think of that case where a mother pretended her daughter Shannon was kidnapped ).
I knew a most unpleasant Celeste.
I also knew a very nice one.

Murtaghjames · 21/03/2021 18:58

And Noelle as I'm due close to Christmas
