I like both. I prefer Victoria as a full name, and love Tori as a nickname. But I work with a Veronica who is known as Vron. I like that. I like Ronnie too.

Victoria

both are fine names.
Veronica is more popular in Catholic countries, as the woman who wiped the face of Jesus on the via dolorosa.
it's such a relief to find a query about not one but two perfectly good names on this board.
instead of ipsy-dipsy type stupid names, trying to be clever.
i have always like Veronica, i think it sounds harmonious, but both are equally acceptable, and good solid names that will go far.

Veronica. One of the most inspirational women I know is called Veronica.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 21/03/2021 02:57

Victoria is by far more classic sounding of the two to me - and has a very cool, classy nn in Vita (like Sackville-West), rather than more dated Vicky/Tori.

There's nothing especially wrong with Veronica imo (in fact I actually quite like it, since it reminds me of the heroine in the cult film "Heathers"), but I'm not sure if it will get shortened and I'm not keen on the any of the obvious nn's personally (Ronnie/Nicky?).

Victoria, although I do like Ronnie as a nn for Veronica.

Victoria

Veronica sounds like a middle aged women having a rough life in 1974.

Victoria for me. I really don't like Veronica.
