I'm hoping this will change once I get a solid couple for each! Just wondering what people's opinions were on the below

Stanely
Harrison
Theodore
Alfie
Oscar

My fave two girls are Robyn and Freya.

Cassia and Serena also have similar feel.

partyatthepalace · 19/03/2021 15:09

Oh good - I think it's really elegant and underused!

Tokyo87 · 19/03/2021 14:26

@partyatthepalace Ooo I love Adela! I haven't come accross that name before. And Cleo is pretty but I can't help but think of the car, even though I know it's spelt differently 🤦🏻‍♀️
And love Max but that's the name of the friends little one, I do like Alexander, but was thinking for a middle name

I had Theo on my list - I also liked Leo, Zachariah and Benjamin.

Tokyo87 · 19/03/2021 14:22

Nice to hear a few more likes for Robyn 🤣
I didnt realise Neve wasn't a proper spelling, I think I was thinking of the actress Neve Campbell haha. I do like the Irish spelling of the name but just worry about having to constantly tell people how to pronounce it.
@Amdone123 I don't mind Elijah not so keen on Caleb though

Absolutely love both Robin and Freya - though do prefer Robin spelt like that. Am not mad on Neve but prefer spelt traditionally as Niamh. Other thoughts (slightly less popular than Robin and Freya) - Stella, Elowen, Ffion, Tessa, Adela, Laurel, Ciara, Sorrel, Ines, Thora, Pearl, Cleo, Fenn, Frances.

Of your boys names I'd go for Stanley - jolly and not overused. Issac is great too. Theodore and Alfred are lovely, Oscar is nice - but they are all v popular. Harrison I don't like. Other thoughts - Franklin, Nathanial, Elijah, Miles, Kester, Abel, Cassian, Casper, Tristan, Jasper, Rafe, Lucas, Jude, Max(imillian), Alexander, Alistair.

Synchrony · 19/03/2021 12:10

I LOVE Robyn. It was on my boy and girl lists.

I like all your boy names except Harrison because it sounds like a surname which isn't my style. Nothing wrong with it though.

TatianaBis · 19/03/2021 11:28

I like Theodore & Oscar but they're super everywhere.

dindot · 19/03/2021 11:05

I love Isaac! Such a gorgeous name

Caspianberg · 18/03/2021 20:34

Evan

Amdone123 · 18/03/2021 20:33

@Tokyo87, I love Isaac and Neve. Do you like Elijah or Caleb ?

CoffeeRunner · 18/03/2021 20:24

Theodore & Oscar are lovely.

I also really like Freya & Robyn. Robyn is popular here at the moment, through work I know of two under a month old.

Is Neve pronounced Neeve? If so I would use the proper spelling Niamh.

Tokyo87 · 18/03/2021 20:18

It's so interesting to hear what others think! I'd love to choose a name that other people hear and say that's a lovely name haha but I suppose that's just not always going to happen!

@lockdownbabyx yes I like Eloise, it's very pretty but I know one!
@shipperssss now you've suggested Isaac, it's growing on me actually! Always been a name that caught my eye

I also quite like Neve for a girl, it was my number 3

I love Stanley. I know a few so I think it's gaining popularity. Similar with Frank

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 18/03/2021 19:40

I like Freya and Oscar despite their trendiness/popularity and I don't mind Theodore and Harrison (Theo is lovely and Harry okay). I only like Robyn when spelt as Robin and Stanley and Alfie are just too trendy for me, sorry.

Starsandglitter · 18/03/2021 19:35

Freya is in the top 10 names for girls so very popular. I’ve always liked it though. Robyn is nice but I don’t like the perhaps inevitable nn Rob. I’m not keen on unisex names but that’s a personal preference.

I like Oscar the best out of your boys names. Theo and Alfie are very popular. I think before you have a baby, it’s easy to think it doesn’t matter as you don’t know any but once you have a baby, you will suddenly hear of hundreds! It’s fine and not the end of the world, they are still lovely names but I think you do have to be prepared x

May2021Mummy · 18/03/2021 19:06

I love Stanley and Harrison from your list

They were on our list along with

Archer
Toby
Eric
Dexter

Good luck

lockdownbabyx · 18/03/2021 18:53

@Tokyo87 we have a very similar taste in names haha. Freya is my top girls name at the moment closely followed by Eloise.

I'm really struggling with boys names aswell, the only name I love is Theodore! But DP hates it 😭. Love Stanley too but my cousin has a boy with that name. The only name myself and DP both like is Presley, but I'm not in love with it.

EvilOnion · 18/03/2021 18:36

There's too much pressure on finding a "perfect" name that you love. I don't think they exist and it can always be changed later if DC hate it!

Pick whichever you like best, once it's associated with your baby you'll love it 🙂

We never stressed over names, just picked ones that we both liked and stuck with them. I don't love #1's name but it's fine.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 18/03/2021 18:24

I really like Stanley, OP! Suits a little boy and he can opt for Stan in his teens if he wants something shorter.

Phoebesgift · 18/03/2021 17:47

Don't like any of your choices but love Jude and Sidney.

SheenMcQueen · 18/03/2021 17:38

Theo is the nicest boys name in the world. I honestly think that. Strong but with a softness to it.

shipperssss · 18/03/2021 17:36

I have a Freya, so obviously love that.

The only boys name we have for DC3 is Oscar so nice to see that on your list too and DC2 is Isaac for another suggestion.

niceupthedance · 18/03/2021 17:33

What about Arthur nn Artie

Amdone123 · 18/03/2021 17:31

Love Freya. Not keen on Robyn. I like Theodore, nn Theo, but just feel that everyone is having it atm. I don't like Stanley. It's too old. Oscar is nice, but again quite popular. Alfie is a no from me, too many.
We don't have the same tastes, but it would be a boring world if we all liked the same. I like more traditional names, Dominic, Michael, William, Matthew. Also, Tristan, Sebastian, Gabriel.

I heard Quinn recently. Quite like that.
