Maggie

SquigglePigs · 20/03/2021 07:43

Eleanor, Pippa and Robyn

reallyalurker · 20/03/2021 07:36

Esther.

DoTheNextRightThing · 20/03/2021 07:34

I like Elena or Fern (though I prefers Fearne or Fheirn spelling)

I know a lady named Rae. It's short for Raewyn. I also have a friend who goes by Rae as a nickname for Rachel.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 20/03/2021 07:31

Etta or Fern although I'd spell it Fearne

LadyWithLapdog · 20/03/2021 07:29

Ellen
Eleanor (or Elena or Alina)
Rae

AnxiousAnnie86 · 20/03/2021 07:25

@Onlinedilema think Eleanor is my current fave as can have so many nicknames from it depending on who she is x

@movingmelly yeah that's my thoughts on Rae! I like Rey, as in from Star Wars 😱 but I do think it's too short x

Onlinedilema · 20/03/2021 07:10

Eleanor.

movingmelly · 20/03/2021 01:40

Rae is great but might be a bit short - but if you like it consider Raya / Reya which are lovely
Aside from that, my favourite is Etta ❤️

AnxiousAnnie86 · 17/03/2021 20:35

We've now added Elena and Esther to the list 🤣🤣

Connie
Ellen
Maggie

MumofSpud · 17/03/2021 00:24

If I had to choose one it would be Esther ( I had Estee on my list for DD (she was an Esme in the end though!)

Smallonesaremorejuicy · 17/03/2021 00:22

Robyn
Maggie
Connie

Whirlwind14 · 16/03/2021 23:31

Connie and Etta were on my girl’s list.
We chose something totally different but if I’m allowed number 3 and it’s a girl- deffo Connie. It’s beautiful

Enidblyton1 · 14/03/2021 19:38

If I had to pick one it would be Delilah - love that name!
I like most of the others, just a couple I would avoid.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 14/03/2021 19:37

Thanks ladies really appreciate feedback! Seems Eleanor is very popular which is one of our favourites, the only thing that puts us off that is a close colleague and a friend of DH has just had a little girl called Eleanor,

Also I love love the nicknames Nellie or Lenny from Eleanor but I really don't like Ella or Ellie and i feel that's inevitable

Maggie
Esther
Eleanor

Pemba · 14/03/2021 17:28

Eleanor, Delilah or maybe Esther.

Ellis - boys' name.

Angel2702 · 14/03/2021 17:21

Ellen
Robyn
Pippa
Esther

Are my favourites

Only ones I’m not as keen on are Delilah and Ellis as all the Ellis I know are boys.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 14/03/2021 16:56

Robyn

I like Esther too.

LifesLittleDeciders · 14/03/2021 16:54

Maggie.. although I can’t help picture the Simpson’s. Not a negative, I still live the name!

Rosehassometoes · 14/03/2021 16:53

Ellen or Eleanor

Ikeameatballs · 14/03/2021 12:40

Ok, with the information about Amelia as a middle name, I actually think Robyn Amelia H sounds best.

I still like Margaret Amelia and Constance Amelia as full names on BC with Maggie and Connie as nn.

I think that Eleanor Amelia is a bit of a mouthful.

Rae Amelia doesn’t flow at all.

Pippa Amelia ends up sounding like Pippa Ramelia (it’s the vowel endingfollowed by a vowel start that makes you add in an “R” sound). The same happens with Etta and Delilah and to some degree with Esther depending on pronunciation.

Ellen is a bit dull.
Fern is a bit meh to me.
