We have a Rufus and are looking for similar names. Any ideas? DH not keen on single syllable names either. Thank you!

Like a lot of the suggestions on here! We live in Scotland and we’re 99.9% sure our little boy will be Jenson. It’s a really rare name here, I don’t know anyone called it. It’s so much harder to pick a nice unusual boys name than it is for a girl!

I’m a teacher so hear so many lovely names but so many of them are wasted for me now 😂

Arthur
Jax
Leo
Oscar is nice but is becoming sooo popular here
Rafe/ Rafferty are both nice

Love William although of course people will immediately think of William Rufus ...

He was William II of England (the conqueror's son) and he was a bad king who met a sticky end).

Florian?
Marcus?
Lucian?

Or a classic one syllable eg James or George - has a ring.

Mr, Mrs, Rufus & George x

Sounds good!

@Chilldonaldchill love your suggestions! Rufus was going to be a Hector but we chickened out. Such a great name.

@Sawyersfishbiscuits Raffi is so lovely. We love Raffi the singer too.

@stellarfox and @Standrewsschool I love Casper but DH thinks it’s too posh.

Honestly, these responses are brilliant, thank you all so much.
