Thoughts on the name Cole

Hi, im due my 3rd baby soon and really struggling on a boys name this time. We already have 1 son who has a very traditional name (Henry) which we love, but a lot of other traditional names I like are already taken by friends or family this time around. I've always liked the name Cole (probably from being a huge charmed fan when i was younger) but worry about it being too "out there" so would appreciate your thoughts. My husband is keen on the name Monty but I'm not sure about that either... 😬

Makes me think of coal, or Coca Cola. Sorry I really don’t like it, and I usually like single syllable names.

I like Cole (was also a big charmed fan as a teen lol). I've only ever met one Cole (though I have also met a Kohl) and it was a nn for Nicholas which I also like and would fit in with the more classical style of Henry if you wanted, though I think Henry and Cole are fine

I'm not a fan of Monty

Oh and I prefer Cole to Monty.

I’ve known 2 girl Cole’s and 2 boy Cole’s.
Just reminds me of Old King Cole (but then again, he is a local Ayrshire man).
It’s not a bad name.
