Thoughts on Sullivan?
Sully as a nn

I don't like surnames as firstnames.

I am aware there are some names (Thomas, James) that work as both, but Sullivan is only a surname, so leave it as that, IMO.

@AlwaysLatte

Why use a surname as a first name? Genuine question. Would people not get confused?
My 3 boys all have names that can be surnames no one gets confused 🙂

I really like the name and the nn very trendy but not to try hard my OH didn't agree unfortunately

I do like quite a lot of surnames that can be used as first names though

I'm afraid it reminds me of Monsters Inc. As loveable as Sully was.

MooseBreath · 03/03/2021 22:16

I really like it. Would've been one of my suggestions for DS if it wasn't so awful with my surname!

Onlinedilema · 03/03/2021 22:16

I like it but don't use it if your surname could be a first name e.g. Thomas or Simon.

Ikeameatballs · 03/03/2021 22:14

I like it.

Yennefer19 · 03/03/2021 22:13

I really like the name and the nn. The only thing I would consider is if your surname is also a name that could be used as a first name then it may sound like a law firm.
