I love the name Phyllis, DH prefers Beatrice. We have narrowed it down to those 2 but just can’t make a final decision! Help!

Another vote for Beatrice (sorry op)!

DarcyJack · 03/03/2021 16:40

I like Phyllis, give it a year or two and you will find you are ahead of the curve. Beatrice not so much but do like Beatrix

ChnandlerBong · 03/03/2021 16:25

Phyllis is just too old lady? How about Phillida or Philippa?

Nell96 · 03/03/2021 15:25

Phyllis is awful. Beatrice is ok, but I much prefer Beatrix.

Oh I like Phyllis very old lady chic :) plus she could have the nn Pip which I love on a young girl.

Beatrice is OK, I prefer Beatrix as it has more spark, but I really do like Phyllis (from somebody who gave her daughter a very marmite name also)

Oh dear, it looks pretty bad for Phyllis. I still love it though Sad

Beatrice - much more classic, thanks to Dante and Shakespeare. Phyllis has a slightly dated/old-fashioned image unfortunately (but the pretty but rare Phyllida doesn't, to throw another name in the works?)

Beatrice

wishing3 · 03/03/2021 13:23

I love Beatrice.

emmathedilemma · 03/03/2021 13:22

Beatrice!
Phyllis is old fashioned but not in a "cool and due a come back" sort of way.

Broccoliflorets · 03/03/2021 13:06

Beatrice

Maybemay123 · 03/03/2021 12:59

Beatrice she will want to shorten it at some point and there will be more options.
Phyllis is old fashioned in the wrong way for me.

Chunkymenrock · 03/03/2021 12:49

Both truly awful, sorry, but Beatrice the least bad.

StillGoingToWork · 03/03/2021 12:42

Beatrice. Can be shortened to Bea, or Trixie! Phyllis is TOO old-fashioned.
