What would you name triplets!

Just a fun game! If you found out you were pregnant with triplet girls.. what would you name them?!

•would you make them matchy such as same letter initials
•would you make them completely different
•would you give them the same middle names or different?

I can't be 100% sure but I think I'd pick out of..

Daphne
Cecily/Cecilia (CeCe)
Penelope
Felicie
Adelie
Margaux

Please tell me what you would choose from! X

YES!

I already have an Alexander

Mum497 · 04/03/2021 14:46

Ella, Rosie and Megan

notalwaysalondoner · 04/03/2021 14:44

I'm feeling classical names for girls so I'd probably go something like Electra, Phaedra and Cressida.

For boys, maybe an '-us' theme - I love Marcus, Fergus and Rufus.

LittleTiger007 · 04/03/2021 14:34

Amelie
Shiloh
Eden

I’d def want them to be different initials and different sounding to help them be individuals.

Wowwellokthen · 03/03/2021 23:58

Josephine..... Josie/phi (Fi)

Posy, Pootle & Perkin 😂😂😂.

I actually use these nicknames for my 3 real life DCs.

DS1 is Pootle.
DS2 is Perkin.
DD is Posy.

PLEEEEASE reassure me that you have one combined (very loud) family alarm clock that's just a tuba playing the theme tune on a loop every morning Grin

CoffeeRunner · 03/03/2021 22:51

To answer the question. If I had triplets tomorrow, once I’d recovered from the shock I would call them;

Holly
Lily
Jennifer

Daniel
Marcus
Luke

ChocOrange1 · 03/03/2021 22:49

I wouldn't make them matchy in any way, I would just choose 3 names I liked. Unless they were all really similar, then I guess I would change one.

My names would probably be
Bonnie
Pippa
Norah

CoffeeRunner · 03/03/2021 22:47

@WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll

Amy, May and Mya - and I'd just be glad they weren't quads, thus avoiding having to have a DD called Yam Grin

Rhoda, Jane and Frederica - Rod, Jane and Freddy for short (showing my age there).

Rag, Tag and Bobtail

Hamble, Humpty and Little Ted

Posy, Perkin and Pootle

Posy, Pootle & Perkin 😂😂😂.

I actually use these nicknames for my 3 real life DCs.

DS1 is Pootle.
DS2 is Perkin.
DD is Posy.

wanderedlonelyasacloud · 03/03/2021 22:41

I struggle with girls names as I like so many but I'd probably choose

Alice
Erin
Annie

But I also love Bonnie Pippa and Libby. Girls names are tough to choose between!

oohmyback · 03/03/2021 22:37

I would also have a heart attack
Over doubling our offspring at the age of 43 🤣

oohmyback · 03/03/2021 22:37

I have a plethora of girls names I never used (even though I have 3 girls! Just can't think of boys names!)

My girls all have old fashioned/traditional but under used names

For triplets now I would have
Juliet
Helena
Constance

I do love an R name though but doesn't work with my surname, R names would be

Rowan
Robyn
Rebecca

BackforGood · 03/03/2021 22:21

•would you make them matchy such as same letter initials

No, I would 100% make sure they didn't 'match' and that they had their own identity. They will spend so much of their life being "the triplets" that anything I could do to support their individuality, I would.

•would you make them completely different

Yes. 100%

•would you give them the same middle names or different?

What ? Why would anyone do that ? Confused
Either give them one name each, or two names each, you can't make them share a middle name Hmm

Thewolvesarerunningagain · 03/03/2021 20:18

Girls

Isadora, Agnes, and Martha

Boys
Rowan, Saul, and Edward

DragonPoop · 03/03/2021 20:12

Seren
Lara
Maeve

Rugbycomet · 03/03/2021 19:57

What immediately sprung to my mind was...
Mary, Mungo and Midge.
Obviously wouldn’t call them that [ blush]

ParisJeTAime · 03/03/2021 19:50

Could go with literature themes:

Jane Austen:

Emma
Elizabeth
Elinor

Shakespeare:

Juliet
Viola
Helena

Bronte:

Catherine (Cathy)
Agnes
Jane

Oh this is fun! I don't want triplets though...

MumofSpud · 03/03/2021 19:46

I like the idea of matchy names but can't come up with a group of 3 where I like them all, so I would go with my favourite names that I didn't (and now won't) use:

Vivienne
Violet (this is DD's middle name though)
Iona

Hopefully Iona wouldn't feel left out?
