Tell me the name you like best from the girls names I’ve picked out

We have a boys name picked(Zephyr) & we already have a son called Mason. There’s a few girls names I like but not sure which sounds better:

Arabella rose Chisholm
Arabella poppy Chisholm
Sapphire poppy Chisholm

I originally picked Arabella poppy but now I’m not sure if it sounds right, I would like a floral middle name as my name is Claudia rose & my sister is Erika daisy & I had picked poppy as a middle name as my partner likes the name & my gran used to call me poppet when I was younger.

CLx94 · 18/02/2021 17:12

I like Sapphire Arabella but I’m not sure if it rolls off the tongue I’m pickled now lol

That’s made me laugh lol I just hear aereola when I say Arabella Viola now I like Arabella primrose thought it would be to lengthy though does it sound okay? Also I don’t know if the ‘b’ in Arabella is to harsh with the ‘p’ in primrose if that makes sense?

Sapphire is my favourite

OnlyToWin · 18/02/2021 16:27

What about Arabella Primrose?
Still has a link to your name, keeps the flow but is a different name.

BallsToYouSue · 18/02/2021 16:15

Love Zephyr and love Sapphire!

I find Arabella too frilly tbh.

I'd go Sapphire Rose or Sapphire Arabella?

Also love Saffron suggested^^.

Frankiefarr · 18/02/2021 15:37

I don’t think Arabella Viola flows at all, sorry. It also makes me think of areola

I knew a Sapphire Smith once and it suited her.

Marguerite
Primrose
Vivienne

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 18/02/2021 14:32

Oh and I meant to say that I think Arabella is very pretty. Rose flows much better with it and is a lovely link with your name (although as I said before, I just adore the name Viola). Poppy is too cutesy/sounds to much like a nn for me compared to elegant Arabella. You could also use Briar (as in Briar Rose), May (a type of flower) or Iris as a middle name?

CLx94 · 18/02/2021 14:30

Think I’m going with Arabella Viola think it flows the best

Arabella Rose is lovely.

Whatsyourflava · 18/02/2021 14:20

Love Arabella by the way

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 18/02/2021 14:06

Arabella Rose sounds best. Very classy. Poppy is very cutesy in comparison and less 'classy' - I like it, don't get me wrong, I just mean that I think this is why Arabella Poppy doesn't sound quite right, because the names have very different feels to them. It depends what is more important to you - the name flowing perfectly (Arabella Rose) or the name having special meaning to you (Arabella Poppy). I think its your decision as both names are nice. I don't like Emerald though.

Edenember · 18/02/2021 12:28

Arabella Rose sounds gorgeous, but I’d go Arabella Poppy to differentiate from your own name. Lovely too.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 18/02/2021 12:26

I think Viola is gorgeous OP - I've always like Viola, such an elegant name (Shakespearean and well used in Europe but not in the UK for some reason).

CLx94 · 18/02/2021 10:07

Think my favourite is Arabella Viola

CLx94 · 18/02/2021 10:06

Oh I love emerald that was the first name I liked but I thought the ‘d’ at the end with ‘Chisholm’ was too harsh I think it makes the ‘d’ in Emerald disappear if that makes sense ‘Emerald Chisholm’ I don’t hear the ‘d’ I love emerald poppy though. I think Arabella viola Chisholm is my favourite

Arabella Rose

Camomila · 18/02/2021 09:52

Arabella Poppy is nice.

Other flowers could be
Arabella Tansy
Arabella Lily
Arabella Jasmine
Arabella Tulip

Mumofms · 18/02/2021 09:52

Arabella violet Chisholm is lovely. Arabella and poppy just don't go together to me for some reason. I do think Emerald Poppy is fantastic though.

Arabella Fern
Arabella Hazel
Arabella Willow
Arabella Lily
Arabella Jasmine
Arabella Iris

CLx94 · 18/02/2021 09:48

I really liked poppy as it means something to me but I think I’m going with Arabella viola it flows much better & it’s a flower

Borntohula · 18/02/2021 09:43

Arabella Delphine sounds nice too but that really might be too much. 'Viola' is really pretty. Smile

CLx94 · 18/02/2021 09:29

Oh i never thought of that! Is that not too much though? Although I would prefer a flower/plant as a middle name I quite like Arabella viola now

OP posts:
Bluesername · 18/02/2021 09:19

I like Sapphire. Saffron is also nice.

Arabella Sapphire?

Borntohula · 18/02/2021 09:13

What about Fleur? I realise it's not a type of flower, exactly...
