I believe it means Honeybee.
What are your thoughts about Melissa..?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I think Melissa is beautiful and due a comeback! And Lissa is a lovely nickname

AlwaysLatte · 17/02/2021 19:20

I hate Melanie - it sounds like melancholy to me so has that vibe.

AlwaysLatte · 17/02/2021 19:19

I love it, Melissa or Lissa, but I hate Mel. With our two boys we made sure we liked every obvious abbreviation.

Focalpoint · 17/02/2021 19:12

Love it!

Aquamarine1029 · 17/02/2021 19:09

Awful, sorry.

BallsToYouSue · 17/02/2021 19:08

I'm not keen. Find it very 80s, along with Melanie.

Not names I think will come back any time soon.

Now I've said that, of course they will skyrocket 😂

emmathedilemma · 17/02/2021 18:59

I like it but can you live with the inevitable Mel as a nn?

RoSEbuds6 · 17/02/2021 18:56

A charming name OP - I really like it.

Bluesername · 17/02/2021 18:55

It's a lovely underused name and I like the meaning too.
