Eugenie's announcement was several days ago. I don't see any particular clash this time round (thank goodness)*

Megs announced she was pregnant with Archie at Eugenies' wedding so....

Would Sophia be a bit close to Sophie (ie Sophie Wessex, Harry’s aunty, who I seem to recall ignored Harry & Meghan at the Westminster Commonwealth service along with Kate and William)?

Would be lovely to have a tribute to Diana, maybe not as explicit as the first name but they might fit it in.

I’m not expecting a classic royal name for Harry and Meghan’s baby, honestly. So I’d rule out the usual names that are jumbled up in a different order for each new kid.
Same with Eugenie I think. A more regular or maybe a little offbeat for hers! I remember her own name was considered a bit radical when she was born.

I'd say they were waiting until she had the baby. It isn't their fault that Eugene has to drag it out by delaying announcing the name.

There are a lot of comments this week that Kate and William have decided to have a fourth baby too, which I find particularly odd although perhaps Kate is also pregnant and that is the press's way of saying it?

Its possible Meghan's pregnancy was going to be published by the press anyway. There was a lot of speculation in the comments of their last appearance (don't know if it was a zoom chat or not). Either way nice news for this couple.

Sorry, correcting myself here, it wasn’t Harry’s birth that was announced, Diana’s pregnancy with Harry was announced on the 14th Feb according to the internet. Still significant though.

I’m thinking outside the box here. Diana’s middle name was Frances and Doria’s is Loyce. If Harrison honours Henry/Harry maybe we can have a Francesca Joyce?

@DustyVenetian why on earth not? Both are events to be celebrated, things that will make their loved ones happy. It’s not a competition, or an attempt to outdo each other. It’s sad that anyone would see it that way. Also, Harry’s birth was announced on the 14th February by Diana and Charles so it has probably been done today for that reason, it holds special significance to him.

As someone who is not that far off living on the breadline I do get bloody sick of "royalty" talk but blankspace4 your comment is unnecessary unkind...and if any "royals" rolls eyes deserve a break it's those two.

I don't think they will follow anything traditional unless its a girl and if so I think they will pay tribute to Diana. The recent photographs announcing the pregnancy are beautiful.
