Middle name for Xanthe

We are thinking about middle names to go with Xanthe. We don’t want to use family names really so far we can only think of Rose but that’s quite common now

I have a Xanthe. Her middle names are Arabella and Rhiannydd. But I sort of regret going quite so posh with Arabella and Rhiannydd is because I'm half Welsh

If I was choosing now, I'd keep the 3rd name but would replace Arabella with something like:
Astrid
Aria
Alba
Amaya
Arwen
Abigail

I love the name Xanthe! My DS asked me yesterday which name I would choose for myself and I said Xanthe, partly because I could be known as Madame X 😂

Sounds lovely. Zanthe Elizabeth or another 3 syllable name works well I think.

Interesting. Margaret is my middle name and I was bullied really badly at school for it. I don’t think I could ever bring myself to use it for my child :)

Since Xanthe is 2 syllables and James 1, I think a longer 3 syllable middle name would flow beautifully to link the two.

I like Xanthe Rose, but it is a very popular middle name choice and I'm also not sure how much I like Xanthe Rose James... There's something a bit abrupt about the two one syllable names together at the end?

When I saw the title and before opening Rose was the first thing that came to my mind!

Love Xanthe - gorgeous choice. But as it's fairly unusual and quite exotic sounding in the UK, I think I'd go for a more common/traditional middle name - Charlotte, Emma, Alice, Laura, Sarah, Eve or even the now ubiquitous Grace. Or if your surname is quite short than maybe Caroline, Julia, Victoria, Lydia, Isabel etc .

Rose is a common surname but it’s nice and sounds lovely with Xanthe.
Also like the above suggestion of Xanthe Belle.
