Due in 4 weeks and not got a name yet! Have a boy's name all sorted but for girls we're really struggling! I wouldn't normally include personal details but I have to here for the sake of the name question.... our surname is Head which isn't the easiest. Can I ask for people's HONEST opinions on these choices please?

  • Rose (would name her Rosaline but call her Rose day to day)
  • Orla (All Ahead?!)
  • Anya (can this also be pronounced On-ya in which case can't use, On yer Head?!)
  • Anaya/Anaia (both pronounced the same eg AnnAYah)... are these overly popular right now?)
  • Anais (is this pronounced "Annay" or "Annay-iss")?
  • Florence (Flo Head????)
  • Isla (no surname issues and is a beautiful name but isn't this massively popular right now and she'd be one of 3 Islas in her class?)
  • Evelyn
  • Amelie (not a fan of Amelia but like Amelie)

Any thoughts, opinions, suggestions please? x

Good god not Orla or Anya. That would be child cruelty!

Is there anything longer you like?

Eg

Rebecca
Philippa
Elizabeth
Charlotte
Sophia
Isabella
Suzanna

I adore Orla. I also think Florence, Roseline & Evelyn are lovely.
Too be honest you don't use first and last together much.

I’m laughing bc we thought of Orla, but last name is Shaw, so would have sounded like a sailor 😂.
I personally love Rose, Isla and Evelyn (Eve/Evie for NN). Florence is a lovely name too, and don’t think that Head would be too much issue, unless there is something I’m not seeing?
Anaya - would be too confusing fir me, wrong pronunciations and spellings all the time and would drive me personally, insane.
