Alice

Grace.

I prefer Sophie to Sophia (not least because Sophia is spectacularly overused these days - as is Grace.)

Sophie 1st choice
Alice 2nd choice
Sophia 3rd choice
Grace 4th choice

But since Sophie wasn't actually on your list... Alice!

Alice

I love Alice, it's on my list at the moment

MerryChristmasToYou · 10/02/2021 12:48

Don't use Grace as a middle name - it's nice but overused. Sophia Grace Surname could be one of several Sophia Graces in her peer group.

Thanks everyone for voting.
These are the numbers, if I've counted correctly!

Alice - 57
Sophia - 46
Grace - 24

I love Sophia
What about Grace as a middle name?

Grace 🥰
I have one, she's the only one in her primary school, obviously not as popular around here!

All beautiful names.

I'm highly biased towards Alice since I have one of my own. First choice for sure.

Second choice would be Sophia (I much prefer the ph spelling over the f). Should I ever have a second daughter, this would be the front runner.

Grace a not so distant third.

Rosehassometoes · 09/02/2021 22:11

I love Sophia and want to love Alice but I see A lice which puts me off.
Really like Grace but it’s more middle namey to me.

Sophia

(Don’t spell it Sofia - place, not name!)

Lots of languages use the Sofia spelling. It's not just a place name!!
MerryChristmasToYou · 09/02/2021 10:12

Sofia as a spelling is fine, but Sophia seems classier.

Place names as given names aren't great - I'm not sure I's want to be called Clapham or Bognor.
Unisex names could be a pain and tend to become girl's names.
Surnames as given names - depends on the name; George, James etc fine, Butcher or Slaughter maybe not.

Totally disagree. LOVE the Sofia spelling and I love placenames as given names, but I also love surnames on boys and dislike unisex names so I'm surprised I'm even allowed on MN.

Alice all the way.
