I like Tess and Tessa. Also Anya and Helena (although there are different pronunciations of this so something to be aware of). Jane is a bit of a marmite name but I quite like it. It's a bit retro!

All are fine. I like Helena best and agree Jane (or Joan) is due a come back. My English teacher in the 70s pronounced Maria as Mariah - always.

Tess - awful. Short for Teresa, too many of them in Ireland. So boring
Helena - ok, prefer Ellen or Elena
Jane - refreshingly simple and pretty. I like it.
Mariah - No. No with diamante studs on it.
Anya - Yeh, really pretty and not too fancy. I like it.

Anya, Jane, Ellen - beautiful

I like Anya and Helena, but Helena would be a no for me due to the several pronunciation issues. I would find it annoying having to explain each time.

I love Tess, love it.
It was either that or Sophie for our daughter ( choose Sophie) but if I’d had another girl she would have been Tess.
I really like Jane too.

The others have a couple of ways of pronouncing them so I’m less keen

Tess and Jane are inoffensive
