I've always loved these names for a girl.
Blossom
Cerise
Piper
Silver

Toeberries · 05/02/2021 23:25

I’ve always loved Avery, but a friend of mine pointed out it rhymed with slavery and I couldn’t get past it. Also think echo is so cute for a girl/little sister/twin. I don’t have any girls, but am also not cool enough to use it anyway!! Smile

Alakasam · 05/02/2021 23:24

Went to school with a Cherry - she's now married to Ed Sheeran :-)

Love this thread and love unusual names! Both my DCs names have featured, which is rare.

I love Aurora and Abraham (Bram), but DP vetoed since our surname stars with the letter A and he's envisioned merciless teasing. Probably rightly so sadly.

Bythemillpond · 05/02/2021 22:14

Really wanted Tiger for Dd but was overruled

CaffiSaliMali · 05/02/2021 22:12

Esyllt for me, it's my favourite girl's name, Welsh for Iseult. Perfectly normal in Welsh speaking Wales but I'm in England where the Ll will be mispronounced as L and she'd end up being called Ess-ilt.

Also, Gwenllian, Llŷr and Siôr.

I also like Iseult but there's no way DH would agree to it. See also Hepzibah and Morgana.

I love Morven, Ishbel and Eilidh but am not Scottish enough to use.

SpikeDearheart · 05/02/2021 15:10

My name and my DS's name are both on this thread. I never thought either were that niche!

VenusClapTrap · 05/02/2021 14:44

For dd I wanted:
Anemone
Marjolaine
Narcissa

For ds:
Darius
Tristan

stormelf · 05/02/2021 13:52

@BabyBee93 leofric is from the tale of Beowulf (ooh that's a great name as well) and Tyche is the Greek goddess of luck

My kids have quite unusual names (son's name has never appeared on ons data) so safe to say I love interesting names

lilibillie · 04/02/2021 23:40

Bettina

SionnachRua · 04/02/2021 23:37

Turkey trots name is definitely due a revival soon I think Smile And has reminded me of how much I like C o s e t t e (not sure if I need to spell it out like that for her privacy but better safe than sorry!).

Outing probably but I grew up with a boy named Rainbow Cloud 😬 (known as Cloudy which maybe isn't so bad..)

I taught a Rainbow Breeze Grin Mind you this was in California.

beingajen · 04/02/2021 23:26

My DS's middle name is Bruin - meaning brown bear. DH tried to veto it, but after my slightly traumatic birth, I reckon I could have even bounced him into having it for the first name Grin.
For a girl I loved Cecily or Cici for short.

FightingFiles · 04/02/2021 23:18

Girls:
Sapphira
Savannah
Tallulah (I was so close to calling DD2 Tallulah)

Boys
Darius
Demitri (Darius and Demitri would have been my identical boy twins)

mashernasher · 04/02/2021 23:13

I'd have had Saskia for a girl. My parents hated it so they were relieved when I had 3 boys.

Sammiesnake · 04/02/2021 22:49

I have two girls, but my favourite boys names were Cedric and Seamus Grin

BabyBee93 · 04/02/2021 22:48
