Stella - is it due a comeback ?

I was just thinking with Ella being quite popular what about Stella? I've always liked the name Estelle, there was a singer called that when I was younger. Doubtful I'll have any more now I have my two, just a thought.

I know a few. I think its revival was about 6 years ago as the ones I know are the same age as DD who is 6 Smile.

I remember a poster on here losing her shit at people for saying it reminded them of beer! She was sending them personal attacks via PM and everything. My horrible cousin, who I had to go NC with, used it too, so I can't really warm to the name!

As PP have said, it's already back with a vengeance in London (I know four under 4s). That wouldn't put me off, it's a great name.

It's currently at 373 in the popularity chart so it's not particularly popular yet, though it's rising. I agree with you it has lots of scope to rise more and I could see it doing so.

My soon to be 4year old DS would have been a Stella.
I haven’t met or heard of any others in my area.

I really really love the name Stella, however my husband loves a beer and I just know if I ever had a girl people would think we named her after a can of Stella

Yes Stella will continue to regain popularity. I like Estelle too but it never seems to get much recognition.
