I don’t know what we are expecting as keeping it a surprise but D day is drawing nearer. Have chosen a boys name but not sure on girls names yet.

Harriet in birth certificate but Hattie to us straight away...thoughts?

Nice with Harriet on the bc. Don’t like it as a standalone name though.

Although it's not exactly my taste (I tend to prefer softer sounding names), Harriet is fairly classic and well known but not overused so is a good choice imo (and I love the retro feeling nn Hattie).

Nice choice.

Our friends' little girl is Harriet / Hattie, and so is DH's cousin's eldest. Lovely, classic name.

It's nice and I do like it but I've got a cockney accent so I don't pronounce my H's. Or T's when they're in the middle of a word.
So if you're anywhere near the south east she'd get called 'a-ee'!
Not trying to put you off just shedding a light on the name.

My goddaughter is Hattie (just Hattie on bc though). It's a lovely name 😊

Hattie is lovely, very sweet but not saccharine.

Harriet is a great name too and offers several shortenings - Hattie, Harri, Ettie, Etta

Love it with Harriet on the BC. One of my favourite names and shortenings.
