My name as a middle name...

I have quite a rare first name.

Would it be strange to use it as my little girls middle name?

I really like my name and would like to include it... thoughts? Too selfie?

One of my dds has my middle name as her middle name and the other has a diminutive of my dsis name as her middle, I think it's lovely

I think it's lovely. I really love my middle name so when I have a little girl she will also have this middle name!

No it’s normal

Unless you are called Verucca or something...

I think it's a nice idea.

My Mum has an Irish first name and my middle name is the English version of it. I like it. Smile

I skipped a generation, my DS has his grandads names as his middle names but no, I don't think it's weird

mumonthehill · 28/01/2021 19:57

Traditional in my family, my middle name is my mums first name, my mums middle name is her mums first name.

Men have no such qualms about naming their kids after themselves.

Give your daughter your name as a middle name if you want to - not too selfie!

My middle name is my mother’s name. All my kids have family’s names as middle names and my youngest has my maiden name. I don’t think it’s weird at all. It’s a lovely family tradition and a way of keeping family roots alive.

My ed has my name as her middle name and my ds has my dhs name as his middle name. My yd has a relatives first name as her middle name. It's not an unusual thing to do as far as I know.
