17 votes for Juliet and 15 for Lucy, almost 50/50 Grin we’ll still undecided but good to see you like both!🥰

ClementineFox · 28/01/2021 23:44

Putting in a vote for Lucy!

Firebird83 · 27/01/2021 17:46

Juliet! I like Jet as a nn.

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 27/01/2021 13:12

Juliet Lucy or Lucy Juliet... Both sound lovely!

finallychangedmyusername · 27/01/2021 13:06

Tough choice, both are really great names. Today I'll vote for Juliet though as it's slightly less popular than Lucy.

KirstenBlest · 27/01/2021 12:39

Lucy
Luce is nicer than Jules

movingonup20 · 27/01/2021 08:49

I really wanted Lucia nn Lucy but exh didn't like it. Lucy in my mind is a shortening but I have a thing about full names. I have two friends from childhood who are Juliet, one is always called Juju the other jules

LouRidley · 27/01/2021 08:46

@CaffiSaliMali if I use Lucy I’ll definitely go for Lucy Juliet :) good to know Juliets don’t automatically go shortened!
Thank you!

CaffiSaliMali · 27/01/2021 08:32

Both lovely but Juliet is fabulous. I know a Juliet and a Juliette and both are known as Juliet/Juliette rather than Jules or Julie.

Lucy Juliet is nice though if you wanted to use both.

IndieRo · 27/01/2021 07:17

Juliet. Lucy is too popular.

ILoveStickers · 27/01/2021 06:31

Juliet

Ellada19 · 27/01/2021 06:29

Both are great choices but I really love Lucy!
Only possible downside is I know it’s popular for folks to name puppies Lucy, maybe because it is a bit of a “cute” name. That wouldn’t sway me away from it though, it’s still awesome!

YessicaHaircut · 27/01/2021 05:15

Both lovely but I prefer Juliet as it’s slightly more unusual. I know a Juliet who gets called Lettie which I think is quite sweet! I do also love the name Lucia with nn Lucy, as an alternative.

Kote · 27/01/2021 05:14

Lucy

intheshallows · 27/01/2021 05:02

Juliet! She will get called jools though whether you like it or not. I personally think hooks is quite a cool nickname!

LouRidley · 26/01/2021 23:34

@GeorginaLS so good to know, thanks! :) Our last name is one syllable (think Smith) and I would use the full name “Juliet” as I dislike Jools or Julie as nicknames (not fan of Luce either for Lucy so that doesn’t settle the debate between the two names for me).
Can’t predict nicknames though, it will be up to her!

Whyisitalwayssocold · 26/01/2021 23:28

Lucy mainly because I have a friend called Juliet who hated being called Julie all the time and got constant comments about "where's Romeo then?".

TempsPerdu · 26/01/2021 23:27

Juliet is so much more distinctive and elegant.

partyatthepalace · 26/01/2021 23:25

Juliet!

Way too many Lucys

Rosecottage888 · 26/01/2021 23:23

Juliet! Such a beautiful, classy name.

GeorginaLS · 26/01/2021 23:23

Juliet is my name and I still love it, actually more now than when I was young. It's sort of a young but old name. No-one has ever called me anything but Juliet, never Ju, Julie or Jules (although I grew up with a comedy surname which lent itself well to nicknames.)

TonkinLenkicks · 26/01/2021 23:15

Lucy

TheYearOfSmallThings · 26/01/2021 23:14

They are both lovely, but I'd probably favour Juliet just because I don't know any little Juliets.

Sunshine1235 · 26/01/2021 23:13

Both are lovely. We considered Juliet but were slightly put off by the thought of people not pronouncing the t at the end so if that’s the kind of thing that would annoy you then I’d go with Lucy

beccahamlet · 26/01/2021 23:12
