Struggling to name Noah's sibling.
Which do you prefer? And why?

Noah and Jacob
Or
Noah and Jenson

Thank You.

Joseph would be lovely too.

OneWildNightWithJBJ · 29/01/2021 10:26

I was going to say Elijah, but Jacob out of your choices. Noah and Jacob go well.

Teakind · 29/01/2021 10:21

Jacob definitely. I really like that name.

I know a dog called Jenson so that may have influenced my view!

Bluesername · 29/01/2021 00:35

Jacob, because I don't particularly like surnames as first names.

ClementineFox · 28/01/2021 23:54

Jacob definitely! It goes with Noah, both classic and biblical. Jenson sounds a bit more modern and American to me.

JemimaTiggywinkle · 26/01/2021 09:47

Definitely Jacob.

I think Jenson will age badly

Chilldonaldchill · 26/01/2021 09:30

Jacob but only because I really dislike Jenson.
If it were me I'd go for a less biblical combination eg Toby or Jack.

Enko · 26/01/2021 09:25

Jacob here too

Being Danish Jensen for me is a very plain surname

emmathedilemma · 26/01/2021 09:00

Jacob

Quercus3 · 26/01/2021 07:19

Jacob is lovely

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 26/01/2021 06:36

I thought Jacob before I even opened the thread! Very biblical and cool. Def not Jenson.

Kote · 26/01/2021 05:54

Jacob goes well. It is quite a biblical pair though if that's an issue at all.

WildCherryBlossom · 26/01/2021 05:30

Jacob - was the first name I thought of when I saw your post, before I had even read the OP

babynamelover · 26/01/2021 05:00

Jacob for me.

Jack would be nice too.
Or biblical still Joel or Jethro.

eeiizzol · 26/01/2021 04:43

Another vote for Jacob. I think it flows better with Noah.

However, I agree with pp Ezra as another possible option. I thought.of that name before reading your post fully too.

Calmondeck · 26/01/2021 04:36

Another vote for Jacob. Mostly because I love Jake, and can imagine a mischievous little pair of brothers called Noah & Jake.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 26/01/2021 03:29

Oh sorry you also wanted reasons why - Jacob is a fairly classic name with a long history of use and is reasonably timeless. Jenson is part of the surname as a given name trend, so may date more and imo it also very clearly means John's (Jen's) son - so I find it a slightly odd as a first name (unless the boys Dad is called John! )

Misbeehived · 26/01/2021 01:59

Jacob. But I came here to say Roman.

Amdone123 · 26/01/2021 01:37

Jacob.
I hate Jenson, Jaxson type names.
Agree with pp....Ezra.

teuer · 26/01/2021 01:16

Jacob. Not keen on Jenson.

PeanuttButtaCup · 26/01/2021 01:13

Jacob

MaliceOrgan · 26/01/2021 01:06

Nelly

WINKINGatyourage · 26/01/2021 00:21

the whale

Sorry! Grin

I like Jacob.
I do not like Jensen.

DramaAlpaca · 26/01/2021 00:19

Jenson for me.

I'm not too keen on Old Testament names on the whole, and definitely not two together.

Chocoholic1972 · 25/01/2021 23:58

Another vote for Jacob
