Daisy, such a lovely name!

100% Daisy. It’s so underused. It’s a gorgeous, elegant name. Sophia is a bit dull

Daisy

Love the name Daisy!!

I love someone else's idea of calling her "Daisy Sophia". Sounds lovely.

Chilldonaldchill · 14/01/2021 08:53

Daisy Sophia would be my choice.
I really like Daisy and don't perceive it as twee at all. I think flower names - Ivy, Iris, Poppy, Violet, Daisy - are all relatively strong-sounding and attractive.

EdgeOfACoin · 14/01/2021 06:19

Sophia all the way.

Daisy is so twee and cutesy. I think it is awful on a grown woman. It used to be a nickname for Margaret (anglicised version of marguerite, which is French for daisy I believe.)

Lemonlemon88 · 14/01/2021 04:43

I like daisy but you could always go Marguerite with daisy as the nn 😊

garlictwist · 14/01/2021 04:39

I like Sophie. Daisy is very twee.

Ginandplatonic · 14/01/2021 04:30

Sophia is a lovely name, but there are so many Sophia/Sophies around at the moment. For that reason I’d go with Daisy.

Kote · 14/01/2021 04:05

Sophia. Daisy feels a bit cutesy to me.

OloBo · 14/01/2021 04:02

Sophia. It’s classic and beautiful.

@IamnotwhouthinkIam

I'd choose Sophia -it's really popular but it's classical, elegant and international imo.

Daisy is very pretty but it's just too cute for me, I struggle to see it on a serious older woman.

Yes. Exactly this.

As long as your surname doesn't start with a D, then Daisy. Yes, it runs the risk of cutesy in adulthood even without alliteration, but it's the right amount of quirky and obviously pretty. While I like Sophia, it's so overused I almost don't notice it as a name.

1st choice- Daisy- less common, bright, happy.

2nd choice- Sophia is nice, but I do think of an eldery, Italian lady. I think of Sophia in the Golden Girls.
