Which do you prefer?

I feel like Lucy would be an easier choice but I’ve always loved Heidi :)

Any middle names to go nicely?

Lucy

Imissmoominmama · 14/01/2021 12:14

DS1 would’ve been Lucy if he’d been a girl. I love Heidi too though.

Sorry, I’m not much help!

WiseOwlRelaxing · 14/01/2021 12:14

Heidi

Lucy is ok but a bit prissy

YoniAndGuy · 14/01/2021 12:13

Heidi.

Lucy is one of those names which is lovely, and totally lovely and classic on paper, but it's actually a bit twee.

Heidi is amazing.

Lucy is a classic.

DramaAlpaca · 13/01/2021 23:11

Lucy by a million miles, it's lovely.

Heidi is horrible, it's so twee it makes my teeth itch.

PlantPotting · 13/01/2021 21:01

I agree with @IamnotwhouthinkIam that Lucy has a more classic feel to it

Popularity wise Lucy is on a massive downward slope too so actually will probably sound much more unusual than Heidi in years to come (Heidi is currently lower in charts but is gradually rising whereas Lucy is rapidly falling)

PlantPotting · 13/01/2021 20:59

Both are really great choices.

I think I prefer Lucy

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 13/01/2021 20:57

Not keen on either (to be fair, I rarely like y/ie ending names - I generally find them a bit "cute"), but of the two I much prefer Lucy - it seems more classic to me.

Middle names are hard to suggest because it would depend on how many syllables your surname is/what initial it starts with.

I much prefer Lucy.

Heidi was my top choice for a girl - had two boys though so never got to use it

ILoveStickers · 13/01/2021 20:03

Both are really nice. I didn't used to like Lucy, but it's grown on me a lot.
