What are your thoughts on this name? For a boy. Thanks in advance!

Thanks all, a generally good/positive response 🙂

I love it, partly because of the Animal Crossing link! Lovely laid back pearl gifting otter!

GretaSheen · 13/01/2021 03:17

I knew a boy at school with this as his surname. But I like surnames as first names.

Littlepond · 13/01/2021 02:58

I love it!! Great name

I have a female Pascale. Same as you OP, we're in a French /English environment.

Works well and suits her. Another bonus is that there are not many Pascale's of her age, which I prefer.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 13/01/2021 02:27

I like it but I think itd be quite hard to carry off tbh.

PurePeppermint · 13/01/2021 00:12

I’d class it with Noel as a name.

Me too, though mainly because they mean Easter and Christmas respectively.

MercyBodle · 13/01/2021 00:09

I like it a lot.

MilkMoon · 13/01/2021 00:06

In Ireland, Pascal is not chic and French. There’s a doleful RTE news reporter called Pascal Sheehy who is so often talking to camera in wellies. in a flood or rainstorm that he’s generally known as Plastic Sheeting.

I’d class it with Noel as a name.

pascal... i dont like it.

MamaLoLo1 · 12/01/2021 23:57

Yep, there's a French link... I like it because it's easily said and recognised in English as well as French.

He's the chameleon in Tangled. I have a cuddly one next to my bed Grin

Theunamedcat · 12/01/2021 23:55

He is the scallop obsessed otter from animal Crossing cute name though no negative connections unless you count him robbing you of your scallops and swapping them for random shoes and dresses Grin

Superstardjs · 12/01/2021 23:55

I don't know any. I do know a Pascale, who chooses to go by her middle name...
The name reminds me of my French GCSE listening exams: Pascal is a gravelly voiced 63 year old man, with a cough, who needs something for his sore throat from the pharmacy.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 12/01/2021 23:54

Nice, but almost stereotypically French sounding (reminds me of my school French textbooks!). Do you have French heritage?
