Grace, very overused as a middle name but lovely as a first name. Sophia is very popular around here, personally I don't like the -ia ending, much prefer Sophie.

Roselilly36 · 10/01/2021 09:08

Grace I prefer, I am not keen on Sophia, but I love Sophie. Good luck OP.

happystory · 10/01/2021 09:07

Grace. Both lovely names but I work in a primary school and Sophia/Sofia is very popular atm

Bluesername · 10/01/2021 08:50

Sophia

Op I’m partial to Sophia there’s not many Sophia around where I love but plenty of grace’s, mind my little cousin is called grace so they are both lovely.

didot · 10/01/2021 04:57

They're both nice but very popular. I think Sophia was no1 for 2019? Not sure if that bothers you?

celticmissey · 10/01/2021 04:40

Sophia gets my vote

Sophia

Oh difficult - both nice but both so popular. On balance I'd go for Sophia since I love the meaning and it gives her slightly more choice of nn's. But I second pp suggestion of Serena instead.

partyatthepalace · 09/01/2021 20:21

I think they are both lovely (have a slight personal preference for Sophia) but very very popular - does that bother you?

Serena, Seraphina, Cassia, could be alternatives for Sophia if it does

FlamingoAtTheBingo · 09/01/2021 20:06

Grace you need to be careful with. You could have the clumsiest most clod hopping girl there is and it wouldn't suit her. So, for that reason, I'd go Sophia but really I think both have been done to death now

OnSilverStars · 09/01/2021 19:34

They're both nice but have been done to death

GentlyGentlyOhDear · 09/01/2021 19:33

Grace. Agree classic and timeless.
Prefer Sophie to Sophia.

Bilgepumper · 09/01/2021 19:29

Grace. I have three boys, if I'd had a girl she would have been Grace. It's such a beautiful, timeless name.

SummaLuvin · 09/01/2021 19:25

Sophia
