Last post for now..... I promise!
Robyn or Erin?
While do you prefer and why?
Older siblings Noah and Jacob. Short one syllable surname beginning with B.

Thank you.

Erin but both are lovely

@YourWurstNightmare

I love Erin. I think it's due a comeback.
It is back! I know lots - from late teens to primary school age - all with Irish links, though.

Erin much nicer
Robin I like for a boy. Now you're having a girl after two boys I think it'd be odd choice to pick a masculine sounding name (just giving my view- plenty will disagree I expect )

How about Edith, Eliza or Wren (sounds similar), Esther

EdgeOfACoin · 09/01/2021 10:05

Prefer Erin.

Neither really go with Jacob and Noah.

They are both lovely and go well with the other names. I know an Erin and she is a sweet, funny little girl.
I would wait and see if one in particular suits her when she's born. We ended up choosing an entirely different name for our youngest, we had never considered before as it just seemed more suitable.

I love both these names however my OH decided he didn't like Erin 😢 turns out we are having a boy anyway but if it was just up to me Erin would be my first choice closely followed by Robyn

daisypond · 09/01/2021 09:50

Hm. Robyn is not nice at all. Erin is fine - if you have Irish roots. I wouldn’t use it otherwise. Neither go very well with Noah and Jacob, if that bothers you.

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 09/01/2021 09:49

I prefer the traditionally male (in England anyway) spelling of Robin - I think it's pretty, I find Robyn a bit clunky (possibly all feelings due to people I've known!)

I don't like Erin - but again the three I've known have all been unpleasant.

As long as your surname isn't Bird I'd go with Robin.
