Noah, Jacob and ??

I currently have 2 boys Noah and Jacob and now expecting a girl.
I found boys names so easy but girls names are so hard.
I prefer names that are less likely to be shortened. So far we've been okay with Noah and Jacob.
Popularity isn't a great concern, if we love a name we will use regardless.

Many years ago before having children I always said I wanted Noah and Amelia. But I'm not sure I completely love it.

Some other names I like are:
Juliet
Lyra (recently heard, what are your opinions on this?)
Eliana (again recently heard)
Rosie (my sons love Rosie because of a baby they know called Rosie, but I know someone with this name and I'm worried she'll think baby is names after her)

I'm put off by associations for alot of names due to the job I do! Which makes it even harder. Any help would be greatly recieved.

Lyra, Eliana & Juliet are lovely. I possibly wouldn’t choose Juliet since you already have Jacob. They aren’t too similar but I don’t like matching initials. I think Lyra is my favourite - there is an association with the Phillip Pullman novels though, especially now the tv show is out as well. I like the books so it just depends if that would bother you.

@viques I'm not against biblical names! I love alot of biblical boys names. Its just from the job I do I have met alot of people and have negative associates with most biblical girls names or I just dislike them

I am not sure why you are against biblical names, in reality they are just names which have stood the test of time and happen to be in the Bible. Many of them are beautiful, classic names . You don’t have to go full Old Testament with Bathsheba and Delilah, but names such as Naomi, Ruth, Rachel, Rebecca, Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth are lovely and fit in well with the traditional feel of your other children’s names.

If you don’t fancy the Bible why not go Shakespearean, obviously not Lady if your surname is Macbeth Grin but Alice, Cordelia, Beatrice, Juliet, Celia, Cressida,Portia, Rosalind are pretty , classic names too.

I think it should be Biblical or it will seem odd-one-outish.

So Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, Abigail, Candace, Hannah, Eve, Mary.

Noah and Jacob are great names. Possible biblical girls names that you might not have considered:
Eden, Bethany, Shiloh,
Alternatively: Lyra is nice, Laila/Layla, Clementine (Clemmie), Amelie.

Ithinkhedidit · 08/01/2021 11:01

I really like Juliet! I have a Noah and if our second had been a girl we liked Isabella, Celeste and Penelope.

Scarby9 · 08/01/2021 10:56

Ruth
Naomi
Elizabeth
Mary
If you are feeling Biblical...
Or
Elouise
Lyra
Bronte
Darcy
if you are not.

Just to add, I don't really like any biblical girls names or have associations with the names. As I'm thinking people might suggest carrying on the biblical theme.
