Claire Elise

Elouera · 05/01/2021 23:40

I only know 1 Elisse from school, but spelt like that with 2 SS's.

What initial is your surname? If you have Claire Elise ...., what does it spell?

Claire Elise sounds too similar to the piano music Fur Elise IMO.

Is there reason you dont want Elise/Elisse as a 1st name instead of the much more common and older Claire?

Claire Elise! Or Elise Claire?

PainterInPeril · 05/01/2021 23:38

Claire Elise

notacooldad · 05/01/2021 23:36

Please not Claire Louise! I’m 36 and it’s the exact name of 6 women my age that I know right now, and loads more from the past. Nearly everyone in the 80s had the middle name Louise!
But enough time has passed that it isn't an overly popular name any more. I don't know any baby or toddler Clare's
It's a beautiful name.

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 05/01/2021 23:36

My DD has the middle name Clair, so naturally I think it's lovely. I'd go for Elise out of your choices.

Nohomemadecandles · 05/01/2021 23:35

Just came to say Louise!

Iwouldlikesomecake · 05/01/2021 23:34

I’m a Claire Louise and I love how many people have suggested it 😊

2020canfuckitself · 05/01/2021 23:34

The most common middle name for Claire is Louise!

DramaAlpaca · 05/01/2021 23:32

Oh I like Claire! Bring it back I say. I'd go with a more modern middle name. Claire Louisa as suggested above is lovely.

CryptoFascist · 05/01/2021 23:30

Claire Louise was a really, really popular name with girls at my school (born in the 80s).

HedgieHog · 05/01/2021 23:29

I know 4 Clare Louise’s, Clare is an outdated name, wouldn’t be my choice but if you have family reasons to use it then I’d say Clare Elise

Bluesername · 05/01/2021 23:29

Claire Louise

NameChange84 · 05/01/2021 23:26

Please not Claire Louise! I’m 36 and it’s the exact name of 6 women my age that I know right now, and loads more from the past. Nearly everyone in the 80s had the middle name Louise! Claire Elise is the best of your suggestions. Claire Elizabeth which is suggested upthread is gorgeous.

Refreshing to see older types of names coming back in I mean.

Kanaloa · 05/01/2021 23:21

I like Claire Louise. I met a baby Nicole a while ago - so refreshing.

Claire is such a lovely name. I like Claire Louise.

BackforGood · 05/01/2021 22:58

Neither of the names that start with a vowel.
'Elise' particularly sounds like Claire Release to my ears.

Sunshine3013 · 05/01/2021 22:46

Elise love that name

onelittleclara · 05/01/2021 22:46

I’m a Clare, and would have loved Clare Elise. 70’s baby, no i. DH calls me Clara. Elise makes it more modern.

Honeyroar · 05/01/2021 22:45

(Claire was quite common where I live, it’s my middle name too)

HeidiOfTheAlps · 05/01/2021 22:45

Claire Elise is lovely.
