Charlie, too “cutesy” for a man??

I like this name but wondering what it’d be like on a man? DH prefers Alex, I’m not sure that suits a baby/toddler as much!

Both work well for babies, children and adults, although I prefer Alex by far.

I did have the ‘cutesy’ worry when naming DS1 - but I think that’s just because I grew up with Andrew’s, David’s, Tom’s etc and so the ‘ie’ names just sounded different to what I was used to.

I once worked with a Charlie - it suited him just fine (and I believe he’s now a partner at a law firm - so a ‘serious’ job).

What's wrong with Charles nn Charlie?

He will have the choice when he's older as to which to go for.

I also don’t know if I want a unisex name (which they both are) :( struggling!
