How common is Ruby nowadays?

Top 30 but I don’t know any? I love it. How many under 5s do you know called Ruby?

I am absolutely biased on the name Ruby. I have one at 18months.
We don't know any other Ruby's at all

I know a 2 year old and a dog
Three different people I know recently got new pets. The two puppies (bulldog and bichon frise) and a kitten were all called Ruby.

Maybe a slight exaggeration Wink but I work in a role with a lot of children and a few years ago I'm pretty certain I had 8 Ruby-Maes and 4 Ruby-Mays on my books!

Like I think of super common names like Emily and I’d struggle to name 30 I know IRL.

I know about 30 but they are all 18 and under. The youngest I know is about 6.

As you'll have seen from the Dark Greener website (which is based on the official UK figures) the name Ruby had been falling each and every year since 2007

Chrismi that's an American website and - so far as I can see from a quick look - it doesn't say where it gets its figures from. But I assume they relate to US baby names.
names.darkgreener.com is based on official UK government statistics.
