So we've now got a short list for baby number two. Still not sure if boy or girl, was wondering what your thought were on our chosen names?...

Boy:
Sidney or Rowan

Girl:
Lois or Rosa

Prefer Stanley to Sidney
Like Lois from your girls list.

Not keen on either Sidney or Rowan. Sidney if I must choose one.

Both girls names are nice but Rosa is nicer imo.

NeonSparkle · 29/12/2020 16:58

I like all your names apart from Lois which I detest. Reminds me of family guy

Rosa is lovely but I'm not keen on either of your boy names, sorry.

I like Sidney and Rosa. Prefer Rowan for a girl.

Love Lois. Like Rosa and Rowan. Not keen on Sidney.

Love Lois. Quite like Rosa

Don’t mind either of your boy names.

LarkDescending · 29/12/2020 13:24

I like Rosa very much.

SummaLuvin · 29/12/2020 13:13

Rowan for boys. I have a preference for slightly feminine, pretty boys names.

Rosa, but I don't love either of the choices.

Orphlids · 29/12/2020 13:13

The only name on your lists I don’t like is Sidney. Goodness knows why, but it has a sort of grimey feel for me. Doesn’t sound quite as classy as the others.

Rowan is one of those unusual names that really does work for both boys and girls. I really like it. I love the gentle sound it makes. I can’t imagine a horrible man named Rowan. Rowan sounds kind, and intelligent.

Lois and Rosa are both smashing, both very pretty and sophisticated. They would both work well on a grown woman, as well as a little girl. I think I prefer Lois, but only because the ‘is’ ending is so unusual compared to the more common ‘a’ at the end of Rosa. But both are excellent choices.

Sorry I'm not a fan of your boys names. My friend has a daughter called Rowan so I always associate it as a girls name.

I do however love Lois and Rosa is a pretty name too.
