Looking for a Goddess-related Hindu name, what do you think of Shreya and Radhika? Pros and cons?
Radhika is pronounced Raa-dhi-ka and Shreya, like Freya.

As I know a delightful Radhika, and an utterly vile Shreya, you can guess my opinion!

I prefer Radhika, I don't like the look of Shreya (maybe because it looks at bit harsh to me.)

Also Janki as a variant on Sita

HazelWong · 28/12/2020 18:41

What about Sita? Pretty but easy to spell and pronounce

I also like Parvati

I like Shreya better, but I think both are nice.

Shreya simply because of shreya ghoshal who we are big fans of.

Shria is nicer than Shreya. The Shre bit makes me think of Shrek. Sorry.

They're both nice. I think Shreya blends in to British names more and Radhika less so - do you have a preference in that respect?

Radhika is lovely.

I find Shreya very difficult to say, don’t know if it’s an accent thing. Anything beginning with “shr” would be out for me.
