With the help from MN I have narrowed my list down to Anna or Alice, we will most like wait and see what DD looks like but which is your favourite?
I think Anna is classic, classy, strong and feminine that everyone can pronounce and spell. Same as Alice but Alice doesn't feel strong to me?

Anna

@Nell96

I find Anna really dull. It's a very common name and just feels a bit 'meh' to me. I like Anya and Annabel. I love Alice - a beautiful, strong, classic name, and I love the association with Alice in Wonderland.

This shows Alice is much more (and consistently so) common than Anna.

I like them both but I'd choose Anna

capercaillie · 19/12/2020 22:57

Both lovely! And both timeless.

PlantPotting · 19/12/2020 22:55

Anna!
Both lovely though

Firebird83 · 19/12/2020 22:39

Definitely Anna.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 19/12/2020 21:57

Anna would be my choice - simple, elegant and very international; plus Anna is a cool palindrome! While Alice is a nice, very classic name too; it has a very English feel to me, less international (and I think Anna looks prettier written down!).

You may want to make up your mind by looking at your local ONS statistics for both names - although Anna is less popular nationally, ONS can tell you if Alice happened to be more popular locally to you last year. I like them both.
I prefer Alice because I don't know as many. In fact I don't know a single one whereas my dd has 6 Annas in her year at school!

mistermagpie · 19/12/2020 21:19

Both lovely names, Alice would be my choice.

Trailing1 · 19/12/2020 21:18

Viviennemary · 19/12/2020 21:16

I think they're both very nice. I probably very slightly prefer Alice

Lobsterquadrille2 · 19/12/2020 21:16

Alice by a mile.

Anna

RosesAndHellebores · 19/12/2020 20:55

I think Anna is more of the moment. Alice was which is why I chose it 22 years ago.

TildaTurnip · 19/12/2020 20:54

Anna.

yahyahs22 · 19/12/2020 20:54

Are you pronouncing it ar na or an na? Either way Anna wins for me too

GirlCalledJames · 19/12/2020 20:54

Both equally nice, great choices.

ShouldHaveCouldHaveWouldHave · 19/12/2020 20:53
