agree about the spelling really not keen on any of the boys names, I like Polly.

BlueSpruce · 16/12/2020 16:46

I love Polly and Thalia. Pretty, not unusual but not overly popular.

Chilldonaldchill · 16/12/2020 16:46

Pollie - I love Polly. Pollie will always just be annoying because it's misspelt
Posie - I don't dislike Posie because it reminds me of Posy in Ballet Shoes. I think it looks better spelt Posy though
Maebel - Mabel is cute. Maebel looks illiterate
Thalia - it's ok. I like it more in theory. I'm practice I don't because it rhymes with failure. I prefer Talia because it sounds better to me
Iris - I love this but it's getting quite common
Nuala - it's ok. I don't love the sound of it

Jaxson - I never understand this one. It's like spelling it Jacksson. It should be Jackson or Jaxon. I much prefer Jack though.
Lockie - not keen as a full name. Lachlan is better
Reid - I'm not a surname as first name fan but I quite like this one

Of your girls names, I like Iris, Nuala and Polly, if spelled correctly. Unusual spellings for well-known names does nothing but cause your child a lifetime of irritation, in my experience.

Katgolde · 16/12/2020 16:46

I like Thalia best of the girls names and Reid of the boys.

Thalia Mabel
Thalia Polly
Thalia Naomi

Reid Maxwell
Reid Oscar
Reid Lucas

VenusClapTrap · 16/12/2020 16:46

I like Iris and Thalia, and Polly spelt correctly.

Dislike your boys names, sorry.

HollyandIvyandallthingsYule · 16/12/2020 16:46

Jaxson is just ridiculous.

loobylou44 · 16/12/2020 16:45

@HollyandIvyandallthingsYule

Please don’t misspell names. It never looks great and makes you as parents look a bit thick.
Yes! This!
newnamenancy · 16/12/2020 16:45

I don't hate the girls names, some are nice, but the crazy spellings are awful.

Please please don't burden your child with an oddly spelt name (said as someone with an oddly spelt name) please.

None of the boy's names are to my taste, so can't really comment. Jackson is probably the one I'd pick if I had to (note normal spelling)

loobylou44 · 16/12/2020 16:44

I agree about the spelling otherwise your lo will spend the rest of their life spelling out their name.

I like Iris, Mabel reminds me of a dogs name. Not a fan of any of the boys names.

Nonamesavail · 16/12/2020 16:43

Iris is not uncommon.

Iwasonceabrownie · 16/12/2020 16:41

If you like those, at least spell them properly.

Polly
Mabel etc.

Don't like any of the boys names.
Jackson if you really must
