Everley and...

Name changed for this as obviously outing.

We have just found out that baby 2 is a girl! We already have a 2 year old DD called Everley. She has two middle names and our surname is double barrelled. Would quite like a name that fits well with this but I would prefer to avoid other “ee” names so not eg Everley and Darcey. I quite like names ending with an “uh” eg Anna. However I’m conscious that Everley is fairly unusual and we partly picked it because we didn’t want her to have a really popular name (both me and my DH were known as “Emma S” or “Adam J” etc at school and hated it). Therefore it would be a bit weird to have a very popular name for DD2, feels like we need to have something else unusual to match. There are a few names that I like that fit the brief:

Vita
Winter
Ada
Frieda
Fritha

However my husband doesn’t like any of them. It feels like any slightly unusual name that I suggest he says is ‘too weird’ so maybe him liking Everley was a bit random (it was number 800+ in the baby name list ranked by popularity the year she was born!) and he actually prefers much more traditional names. I think he’d be happy with something more popular like Freya or Ava despite what he’s said before about wanting an unusual name but I wouldn’t really. I want them both to have a slightly unusual name. Any ideas? We’d also give 2 middle names, I don’t mind these being more popular as Everley’s are too.

Ps. I know Everley is a bit of a marmite name on MN, please no negative comments about her name, we have already named her! Thank you.

How about:

Everley and Serena
Everley and Alice
Everley and Clara
Everley and Rae

Some of those might be too popular for you but it’s just some options.

Ooh, I heard Cleo the other day too, like that.

Not keen on Fritha, and Ada is quite popular now (although could be a great fit with Everly since Ada sounds like super popular Ava, the way Everley is reminiscent of popular Evelyn).

Frida (spelt like this) and Vita are lovely but I'm not sure they really fit with Everley (I see Vita and Frida as quite vintage). Winter is one of my guilty pleasure names - I think it could be quite hard for a shy child to cope with an unusual first name.

Other names that may fit your style :
Alva (more well known in Europe, this is slightly unisex like Everley and so would be a great match I think)
Aya
Ines
Gaia
Mina
Nova
Tuva
Vida
Ziva
